Michael B Jordan¡¯s Sinners, which opened in theatres last month, has proved to be a sensational blockbuster at the worldwide box office. According to Box Office Mojo, a trade portal, the thriller earned $316 million worldwide during its full run. Of this, $240 million came from the US markets. The remaining $76 million, meanwhile, came from markets elsewhere.

The film received mixed reviews with critics praising the performances but panning the execution. The average word-of-mouth, however, did dilute its appeal among the younger audience. Sinners¡¯ modest budget of less than $100 million too worked in its favour, making it a profitable business.
