Madame Tussauds Slammed For Separating Statues Of Prince Harry-Meghan Markle From Royal Family
Prince Harry and Meghan announced on Wednesday that they will step back as senior members of the royal family and are planning to work towards becoming financially independent. Madame Tussauds museum said that the couples wax figures which previously stood alongside Queen Elizabeth II Prince Philip Prince Charles and wife Camilla Prince William and Kate Middleton will no longer appear in the Royal Family set.
Madame Tussauds London announced that they have chosen to move the wax figures of Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, away from the rest of the royal family, after the couple announced that they have decided to quit their 'senior role' in the family.
In a statement, Prince Harry and Meghan announced on Wednesday that they will "step back as 'senior' members of the royal family" and are planning to work towards becoming "financially independent".
Reacting to the surprising news, Tussauds museum said that the couple's wax figures which previously stood alongside Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, and wife Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton, will no longer appear in the Royal Family set, CNN reported.
Madame Tussauds said they will be separated from the family to mirror their "progressive new role within the Royal institution".
"Alongside the rest of the world, we are reacting to the surprising news that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be stepping back as senior Royals. From today Meghan and Harry's figures will no longer appear in our Royal Family set. As two of our most popular and well-loved figures, they will, of course, remain an important feature at Madame Tussauds London as we watch to see what the next chapter holds for them.", said Steve Davies, General Manager at Madame Tussauds London.

There's always so much to do when I visit London, so thanks for helping me cross one thing off the list. I guess I'm just surprised that your Twitter is run by a petty 14-year old.

Yes do weigh in on the topic in the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL WAY POSSIBLE. By the way...update your website, hypocrites. If you have such an issue with them, stop using thier image to sell tickets.

Did Madame Tussauds disappear Princess Diana¡¯s wax figure when she left the Royal Family?

I think not. Because back then, someone in charge was smart enough to realize that she was their main draw.
Bring back that guy.#Megxit pic.twitter.com/hUdQWO1col
Why wasn't Prince Philip removed when he retired from public duties? He is no longer seen in public, if you are removing the Sussexes for their desire for a bit more privacy, I think you should do the same for the retired prince. But I guess that wouldn't be white of you.

This was a very foolish decision. You will have a very difficult time convincing people that this move wasn¡¯t influenced by racism.

Meghan's waxwork was unveiled shortly before the royal wedding in May 2018 and was positioned alongside Prince Harry in a room dedicated to celebrating their partnership.
