Nayanthara recalls her outburst during the shoot of a film with Mohanlal
Nayanthara worked with Mohanlal in Manassinakkare, which hit the screens in 2004. She, however, did not have a good experience as she was not able to emote in Malayalam. In a recent interview, she opened up about her outburst on its sets.
Nayanthara is one of the biggest names in the film industry. The powerhouse performer, who began her career with Manassinakkare (2003), enjoys a strong fan following because of her striking screen presence and outspoken nature. In a recent interview, ¡®Thalaivi¡¯ opened up about her initial years in the industry and revealed that she had a hard time on the sets of a film with Mohanlal as couldn't ¡®think in Malayalam¡¯.
When Nayanthara lost her cool on the sets of a Mohanlal film
In 2004, Nayanthara worked with Mohanlal in Vismayathumbathu. The thriller marked her first collaboration with ¡®Lalettan¡¯ and was her second film as an actress.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Nayanthara recalled that Fazil¨C the film¡¯s director¨C once got very upset with her as she wasn¡¯t able to deliver what he expected from her. Nayanthara added that following this, Mohanlal asked her to ¡®emote from within¡¯. The Mollywood superstar¡¯s advice irritated Nayanthara to such an extent that she simply lashed out at him.
¡°(I said) Sir, I don't even know what I¡¯m doing. I don¡¯t even know what dialogue I¡¯m saying. You¡¯re telling me to come stand on this mark, shed a tear at this word, fall in love at that word. What are you asking me to emote from? I don¡¯t have anything inside me. There is nothing inside me. There is only fear inside me,¡± she told The Hollywood Reporter India.
Nayanthara added that Mohanlal did not mind the outburst and asked her to take a break. Moreover, Fazil reassured her that he had full faith in her abilities.
The future looks bright for Nayanthara
Coming back to the present, Nayanthara was recently in the limelight because of her Netflix documentary. It focused on her career and her decision to marry Vignesh Shivan. Nayanthara will soon be seen in The Test, starring R Madhavan. The ¡®Lady Superstar¡¯ is also likely to have a special appearance in The Raja Saab. Mohanlal, on the other hand, is awaiting the release of Barroz. The fantasy drama is set to hit the screens on December 25.
