Bad Newz real story: The 2022 case that inspired Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri starrer movie
Here's all about the 2022 real-life heteropaternal superfecundation case that inspired Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri starrer Bad Newz.
Is the phenomenon mentioned in Vicky Kaushal and Triptrii Dimri starrer Bad Newz true? Or is this a made-up condition? The plot of the film is based on a rare condition called heteropaternal superfecundation. The film, which also stars Ammy Virk reportedly draws inspiration from a real life case that made headlines in the year 2022.
The real incident that inspired Vicky Kaushal's film!
The incident that brought heteropaternal superfecundation to the spotlight happened in 2022 when a 19-year-old woman who chose to remain anonymous delivered twins. To know who their father was, she got a DNA test done. To everyone's surprise, the DNA of the man she thought was their father matched with only one of the kids. She then recalled she had sexual intercourse with another man on the same day. When tested, the DNA of the second child matched with her second partner. Her kids in 2022 were 16 years old. The case was only discussed by Dr Franco then.
This rare biological phenomenon happens when a woman releases two eggs in a single reproductive cycle and has intercourse with multiple partners, leading to each egg being fertilised by a different man.

Directed by Anand Tiwari, the film seems to be a successor to the 2019 hit Good Newwz, that starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh in the lead roles and was based on vitro fertilization where sperms of each couple get mixed with one another.
