Muthukumaran wins Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8: Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8 concluded on Sunday (January 19) with a grand grand episode, which saw Muthukumaran emerge as the winner. The YouTube creator had a memorable stay on the show, impressing the audience with his articulate thinking and command of the language. This paved the way for his victory.

Muthukumaran to enter Kollywood?

Muthukumaran¡¯s big win on the Vijay Sethupathi-hosted show has the potential to open new avenues for him. According to Ramesh Bala, an analyst, Muthukumaran¡¯s experience has an anchor and his immense popularity is likely to help him secure the opportunity to host events or shows on popular TV channels.

¡®He already has a YouTube channel. His stint on Bigg Boss Tamil will help the channel become more popular. He may also anchor a show on TV or do something along similar lines. Bigg Boss has always provided participants with a platform to go to the next level,¡± he told Indiatimes.

Interestingly, some of the previous contestants of Bigg Boss Tamil made a name for themselves in the film industry after their stint on the reality show. Take Kavin for instance, The actor successfully transitioned from TV to films after appearing on Bigg Boss Tamil Season 3. He is best known for his work in Dada and Lift.

Similarly, Harish Kalyan made an impact on Bigg Boss Tamil Season 1 and emerged as the second runner-up. This helped him deliver a hit with Pyaar Prema Kaadhal in which he appeared alongside Raiza Wilson. Raiza too was a participant on the inaugural season of the reality show.

Given this, Ramesh Bala feels there is a strong possibility of Muthukumaran bagging film roles.

¡°There will be movie opportunities. Of the previous contestants, some of the girls became heroines. Also, Bigg Boss helps people secure better pay and move from one tier to the other. If an actor is in tier 4, Bigg Boss may help them move to tier 2 or something along those lines. The pay and all will be better,¡± he said.

He added one is expected to get clarity on his future plans in the coming weeks

Coming back to Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8, it kicked off on October 6, 2024, with Vijay Sethupathi serving as the host. ¡®Makkal Selvan¡¯ replaced Kamal Haasan, who had hosted the previous seven seasons but refused to return this time due to prior commitments. Like the previous installments, the eighth one too featured several twists and turns.

Muthukumaran, Pavithra Janani, Raayan, VJ Vishal, and Soundarya outlasted the other participants to make it too the finale. Most polls predicted a tough fight between the YouTuber and Soundaraya. However, Muthukumaran eventually edged past the competition to take home the trophy.
