Sonu Nigam performs live with 'excruciating pain' due to a back spasm, shares a video
Sonu Nigam shared a video of himself in excruciating pain before his Pune concert due to severe back spasms. Despite the discomfort, he powered through the performance with high energy, ensuring the audience didn¡¯t feel his struggle.

Singer Sonu Nigam tweeted a video of himself in 'excruciating pain' moments before his gig in Pune. Sonu took to Instagram and posted clips of himself from the concert. Sonu is seen lying in bed in the edited video, speaking to the camera. He was also spotted wincing in pain as his teammates attempted to help him. The performer was also seen descending off the stage with the assistance of others. He stretched and attempted to relieve his agony. The difficulty, which began shortly before his performance, did not damper his spirits. Sonu was seen dancing in the video as he performed.

In the video, Sonu said, "One of the most difficult days of my life but very fulfilling. I was thinking gaate gaate jhatka dete hai na (While singing we dance), that can also trigger the spasm. But I managed somehow. I never want to do less or give less when people expect so much from me. Ho gaya acha (It went well) I'm glad. This shaped up fine."
"But excruciating, excruciating pain. Laga tha jaese ek needle mere spine mein laga rakhi hai. Itna sa yaha waha ho aur needle spine mein ghus jayegi (I felt as if a needle was pricking my spine. I would move a little and the needle would enter my spine). It was like that. Really bad," he added.
Sharing the clip, Sonu captioned it, "Sarasvati ji did hold my hand last night (folded hands emoji)."

Sonu took to Instagram Stories to share a fan's post. It said in Hindi, "Last night, Sonu Nigam performed in Pune." Prior to the show, he was experiencing severe back pain. Putting all of this aside, the moment he stepped on stage, he didn't let his audience feel any of it. He delivered with twice the enthusiasm. This was simply fantastic. I hope this spirit is with you constantly."
