'You're Failing Your Secular Credentials', Vivek Agnihotri On Wikipedia Calling Kashmir Files 'Fictional'
When Wikipedia referred to The Kashmir Files as a 'fictional¡¯ story', Vivek Agnihotri lost his cool and called it out on Twitter.
The Kashmir Files made a lot of headlines when it released last month. The film gave us a hard-hitting narrative of the genocide of Kashmiri Pandits carried out in 1990s. The film, based on true events, painted a brutal picture of the atrocities faced by Kashmiri Pandits.
Vivek Agnihotri took a strong stand for all Kashmiri Pandits and has time and again said that he wanted to bring to light what all they faced back then.
So when Wikipedia referred to the film as a 'fictional¡¯ story', the filmmaker lost his cool and called it out on Twitter.
Sharing a screenshot of the same, he wrote, "Dear @Wikipedia , You forgot to add ¡®Islamophobia¡ propaganda¡ sanghi¡ bigot¡ etc¡¯. You are failing your Secular credentials. Hurry, edit more."

Filmmaker Samar Khan responded to the tweet and said that Wikipedia is an 'open forum' and that changes can be made to the article.
Responding to this, Vivek Agnihotri said, "Really, my genius friend? Try doing it. Just once. And take anything you want from me. It¡¯s a public challenge. Hahahahaha¡ welcome to the censored, prejudiced and closed-source world of@Wikipedia."

Earlier this month, Vivek Agnihotri came out in support of Satish Tickoo's family and hoped that they get justice in the case against terrorist Bitta Karate. The Tickoo family moved court and after 31 years, the first hearing of the case against Bitta Karate was held on March 30.
The filmmaker had earlier revealed in a tweet that they have been granted the permission of building a 'genocide museum'. The final nod came from Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Talking about the need for such a museum in India, he had earlier said, "I am here at the holocaust museum at the Washinton DC, and you can see the pictures of the most tragic incident of human history. We don't have museums like this, but I hope a new dialogue will begin."
The concept of a #GenocideMuseum came to my mind here in almost dark @HolocaustMuseum while talking to @surinderkauldr. Thanks to CM @ChouhanShivraj this will be a reality soon and it will be India¡¯s first monument of love, peace and humanity. #Oneness is our motto. pic.twitter.com/g2NZj3rILS
