Facing natural landscapes on either side of the meandering Pennar river with exemplary views on every turn, Gandikota is the Grand Canyon of India. I have noted one thing that many people tend to miss visiting mountains when tourist season is at lowest, i.e, beyond September. I believe that's the best time to visit places like Kausani. You tend to get the best views of Himalayas.

It has to be Dindi, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. It's actually Andhra's best kept secret. Lies in the fertile delta formed by the Godavari river, its a picturesque village filled with coconut groves that stretch for as far as your eyes can see. There's the Godavari river flowing on one side of the village. The village is only 20km from Antarvedi, where the Godavari meets the Bay of Bengal and the sight is magnificent). Dindi is green and beautiful.
