ZNMD actor Farhan Akhtar savours chocolate momo in Ladakh; here's how you can make them at home

Bollywood actor and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar took to Instagram to share snippets from his recent trip to Ladakh. Like many of us mere mortals, the highlight of his getaway seemed to be the delicious food that he was eating. One of the most peculiar of items that according to him during a trip to Ladakh was chocolate momo.

If a vacation to Ladakh seems like a far-fetched dream to you, don't get disheartened. You can still make chocolate momo at home and eat them too! Here's a quick and easy recipe by chef Sanjeev Kapoor to make these weird-sounding but Farhan-approved tasty treats in the comfort of your home.

Easy recipe for chocolate momo

Ingredients

6 tbsp dark chocolate (melted)

200 grams of all-purpose flour

? cup mixed nuts

6 tbsp desecrated coconut

1 tsp cardamom powder

Instructions

1. Take a bowl and combine nuts, coconut, chocolate and cardamom powder.
2. Dust some flour on a worktop and divide the dough into equal portions. Roll out the dough balls into think and even disks, you can use a cookie cutter to make this process easier.
3. Stuff each disk with the chocolate mix and gently bring the edges together to fold and shape the momo. Once all the momo are shaped and sealed tightly, place them in a steamer and steam them for about 5-7 minutes.
4. Serve hot and enjoy!
