Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah's Tweets About 'Allowing An Ambulance To Overtake His Convoy', Twitter Trolls Him To Glory
On May 9, an ambulance was stuck in a traffic all because of policemen who were making way for home minister G Parameshwara near Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee headquarters on Queen's Road in central Bengaluru.
The incident is proof enough, that the boorish VIP culture is still very much present. But, in an effort to paint a rosy picture, Karnataka Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah posted a tweet with a video bragging about how he let an ambulance ovetake his convoy.
BTP stood by my instructions to prioritise the movmnt of ambulances against VIP convoys; today they allowed an ambulance overtake my convoy pic.twitter.com/zRDtTAb9xK

He even went on to retweet a post by the police on the same thing.

Giving way to an ambulance is the most basic road etiquette and for a CM to be garishly tweeting about something so obvious is unbecoming.
And as usual, Twitterati didn't spare the wrath against the CM's post. Here's how people reacted:
#1 Motive behind the post, the upcoming Assembly elections
@CMofKarnataka We know that election is coming! And we never forget that day when your convoy stopped the an ambulance taking old women to hospital!

@CMofKarnataka @blrcitytraffic When common sense is boasted upon.. Why do you need a convoy? Take a bus to wherever you are going.. You want public to do it? pic.twitter.com/tH7EpprjdU

@CMofKarnataka Not a big deal, as a chief minister its your primary duty to put citizen's requirements before your convoy
