A notice issued by the Heera Twins Owners' Association in Kerala's capital Thiruvananthapuram listing 'dos and don't' for tenants has invited heavy criticism for 'moral policing'.
In the notice issued on Wednesday, the owners have listed instructions for "flats where only females or males are staying".

Meet visitors in office
"No opposite sex is allowed to visit flats except direct blood relatives at any time of day or night. Tenants are free to use basement office space for meeting visitors after making entry in the register," the notice said.
"All the tenants have to submit their Adhaar card and phone number along with their parents or guardian's mobile numbers, which will be entered in the visitor's register," it said further.
Only for families
The owners association further directed that non-families occupying the flats must vacate within two months as the building was meant only for families.
The notice further warned that any noncompliance and "unnecessary quarrels with the watchman" will involve police and the guardians will be informed about such conflicts.

According to local media reports, out of the 24 apartments, only 5-6 are occupied by bachelors, primarily students or working professionals.
Following the bizarre dicta, some reportedly plan to leave, while others are contemplating legal action against the RWA.

Many on Twitter called out the flat owners for their moral policing.

How students shut down RWA's moral policing
In July, a group of engineering students in Thiruvananthapuram had given an epic response to another RWA that tried to moral police them.
An RWA near the College of Engineering in Thiruvananthapuram had tried to prevent girls and boys from sitting together in a waiting shed by cutting the single seat into three small pieces.
Members of the RWA said they disapprove of the conduct and behaviour of the CET students inside the bus stand during the day and even late at night.

The students responded to the RWA's moral policing by posting photos of girls sitting on boys' laps.
The photos went viral on social media, with many, including politicians and celebrities, coming out to support the students.

Under fire from various corners, the RWA later said that the bench was converted into three seats to renovate the dilapidated structure and keep in mind COVID-19 guidelines to maintain social distancing.
