Madhya Pradesh: Drunk Co-Passengers Push Man From Moving Car, Drag Him Trapped On Seat Belt For 25 Km

In a shocking incident, a man was killed after he was pushed out of a moving car and dragged on the road for several kilometres.
The victim, identified as Sandeep Naqwal, a resident of Gwalior's Awadhpuri, was pushed from a moving car by his cousin Sanjeev Naqwal and friend Rajesh Chadhar, who were returning to the Madhya Pradesh capital from Rajasthan.
What police said
According to the police, the incident happened on the intervening night of December 2 and 3 on the Bhopal-Gwalior highway.
The three men who were returning from a funeral were heavily drunk and got into a heated argument mid-way.
The argument escalated to the point where Sanjeev pushed Sandeep out of the moving car.
Chadhar, who was behind the wheel, continued driving the car, unaware that Sandeep, wearing the seat belt, was stuck and was being dragged along on the road.
How the horror ended
According to the police, the two men had driven over 20 km with Sandeep being dragged on the road when some shocked passers-by informed the cops.
The car was intercepted near the Duraha toll plaza by a Police Patrol team, but by then, it was too late, and the victim had died.
What accused said
Police said that Sandeep's body, including skull and bones, was shattered after being dragged on the road for such a long distance.
The two men who have been taken into custody over the incident told the police that they were unaware that the victim was dangling on the side of the car.
They have been arrested, and a murder case has been registered against them.
