One such example is that of Sikander Khan, an Ola cab driver who helped a woman while she was stranded for over 10 hours in Parel on Hindmata flyover.
Fed up after hours of waiting, Vaish decided to get out and start walking. The cab driver Sikander Khan did not hesitate once before giving away his umbrella to her. But she couldn't walk too far so she went back to the cab.
In a Facebook post she thanked the driver for his kind gesture and wrote:
"He gave me his umbrella when I decided to leave the cab and walk, and when I didn't get anywhere due to the chest deep water, he called me to come back and sit in the cab. He assured me he would get me home safe once the flood receded and the traffic would move no matter how long it would take," writes Ms Vaish in her post.
Mr Khan not just waded through high water - he also bought and then to dropped her to a hotel. He also refused to take the money she offered.
