PMAY 2020: How To Check Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana List?
The Government of India has launched the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana or PMAY in June 2015. As Housing for all by 2022 this credit -linked subsidy scheme -CLSS aims to construct affordable 2 crore houses for Indians belonging to particular economic sections. People who are availing loans to buy property or land to construct homes would be eligible for interest subsidies.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
Property and land prices are increasing day by day in India, which has reduced affordability significantly. It is important for individuals residing in metropolitan areas. To promote and encourage sustainable and affordable housing, the Government of India has launched the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana or PMAY in June 2015.
As ¡®Housing for all by 2022¡¯, this credit -linked subsidy scheme -CLSS aims to construct affordable 2 crore houses for Indians belonging to particular economic sections. People who are availing loans to buy property or land to construct homes would be eligible for interest subsidies on the said credit.
However, the loan interest subsidy scheme is only available EWS - Economically Weaker Sections, LIG - Lower Income Group or MIG - Middle Income Group.
PMAY Eligibility - Income Groups for Beneficiary Selection
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana list of beneficiaries are mentioned below, including the different income types and groups who are eligible for this scheme.
Individuals who belongs to scheduled castes.
Individuals who belongs to scheduled tribes.
Women - irrespective of what caste they belong.
Families belonging to the EWS - Economically Weaker Section with total income not exceeding Rs 3 Lakh.
Families belonging to Low Income Group (LIG) with total income not exceeding Rs. 6 Lakh.
Families belonging to both LIG and MIG sections. Here the total income under this section cannot go up or exceed beyond 12 lakh, however the second category II exceeds beyond 18 lakh.
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban (PMAY-U)
At the current time PMAW Urban - PMAY-U has around more than 4000 towns and cities which are under the scheme. It also include urban development authority, special area development, industrial development, notified planning and every other included which is responsible for urban planning and regulations.
The scheme is based on three phases:
Phase 1
To cover 100 cities in select states and UT between Apirl 2015 and March 2017.
Phase 2
Cover 200 additional cities between April 2017 and March 2019.
Phase 3
Cover the remaining cities between April 2019 and March 2022 dates.
As per data, the progress of PMAY-U in all states and union territories,
Sanctioned houses - 83.63 Lakh, Completed houses - 26.08 Lakh occupied houses - 23.97 Lakh
The total amount deemed to be invested is Rs. 4,95,838 Crore out of which, Rs. 51,414.5 Crore of funds have already been released.
How to Check PMAY Urban List 2020?
Two segments are divided, the process to check the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana list 2020 for the urban beneficiaries is totally different from the rural counterpart.

- Step 1: To check if they are selected in the PMAY list 2020, applicants should visit the official website of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
- Step 2: After clicking on the suitable options ¡°search beneficiary¡± , they need to select the Search by name option.
- Step 3: While applicants can search by entering their full name, i the given space.
- Step 4: Once the PMAY list opens with the name of the beneficiaries and other, the details is generated applicants should check it in detail.
