¡°Even though you¡¯ve had COVID-19, it¡¯s still very important for you to get the vaccine,¡± Infectious disease expert Kristen Englund, MD said.
According to her, it is still unclear how long the naturally acquired immunity will last.
¡°We don¡¯t know how long your immunity will last after you¡¯ve had a natural COVID-19 infection,¡± Dr. Englund said.

Yes. If you get infected after 1st dose, take the 2nd dose after 6 weeks from the day you tested COVID +ve

As far as getting the second dose of the vaccine after testing positive in the gap between the two shots are concerned, they should wait up to 6 weeks to get the second jab.
