Kumar has been arrested but said that the German national initiated the fight. He said that when he greeted Ereek by saying "welcome to India", he hit him.
This is not the first such incident, earlier on October 22, a Swiss couple, Quentin Jeremy Clerc and his girlfriend Marie Droz was attacked by five youths in Agra's Fatehpur Sikri. Clerc suffered a skull fracture and Droz received treatment for multiple injuries.
According to GRP, Holger had landed in Sonbhadra for visiting Aghori Fort on Saturday. Then he reached Robertsganj station where Aman reportedly greeted him.

Holger said he was not interested in talking to him. It provoked Kumar and he started assaulting him. Holger was rushed to the hospital. Later Kumar was booked and held. GRP said it later found out that a case was filed against the tourist in Himachal and his passport had been deposited in a Kullu court.
