Vakrangee founder Dinesh Nandwana dies during ED raid in his Mumbai office
Vakrangee was founded by Dinesh Nandwana, a chartered accountant from Kota, Rajasthan, in 1990 as a technology company based in Mumbai, India, that provides banking, insurance, e-governance, e-commerce, and logistics services.
Dinesh Nandwana, the founder and chairman emeritus of Mumbai-based Vakrangee Limited, died on Friday after he collapsed during an Enforcement Directorate (ED) search at his premises. The 62-year-old reportedly developed health complications during the raid, which led to his death.
Vakrangee, in a statement to the BSE, confirmed Nandwana's death but did not specify the cause.
"Dinesh Nandwana was the first-generation entrepreneur who played an important role in bringing the company to its present level based on very strong fundamentals. He has been instrumental in moulding Vakrangee from a modest consultancy company to a prominent force to be reckoned with and has scaled the company to a new orbit of growth," the statement noted.
ED raid at Nandwana's premises
According to reports, ED's Jalandhar unit, supported by the local division, was conducting raids at several locations, including his premises in Andheri, when Nandwana developed health complications.
The MIDC police, Andheri East, have registered an accidental death report complaint over Nandwana¡¯s death.

According to the company's website, Vakrangee is one of the main providers of the software and equipment for voter ID cards and Aadhaar cards.
