A video has gone viral on social media showing security guards 'protecting' a McLaren supercar from such 'unwanted' attention when it had to stop at a traffic signal. In the undated video, which appears to be shot on a road in Bengaluru, the McLaren 765 LT, which costs over Rs 12 crore is seen halted at a red light.
Supercars are a curiosity, not just for vehicle enthusiasts, but even for ordinary people as one doesn't see such cars cruising past you every day. While the supercar owners do enjoy the attention they receive on the roads from others, at some point it becomes too inconvenient as there are always people flocking to click photos and take videos, and sometimes this can also lead to unfortunate incidents.

And naturally, it caught the attention of others passing by. But before any of them were able to get close to the supercar, a couple of guys from an SUV that followed the McLaren can be seen jumping out to the road.
The two men then stood guard, making sure that none of the passersby got too close to the McLaren. One of them can even be seen chasing away a youth who sneaked in and tried to touch the McLaren.

Owner lives in Dubai
According to some social media users, the Dubai-registered McLaren is owned by businessman Ranjit Sundaramurthy.
ThirdEye, an X account that documents road and vehicle-related incidents in Bengaluru said that the owner of this supercar stays in UAE and he has hired private security guards to protect his car from the onlookers often taking pictures and videos.

Two scooty riders once nearly crashed on it
This appears to be the same McLaren 765 LT that was seen in a video that went viral a couple of months ago.

In the video, two scooty riders were seen attempting to record the supercar on Bengaluru's Vittal Mallya road. Unfortunately, they got too close and collided with another biker, narrowly averting a fatal accident.
