An Out Of Control Wildfire Is Raging In Lebanon, Syria And The Images Are Very Scary
More than 100 blazes were reported from north to south of Lebanon over the past two days. The fire which began in Chouf village of Meshref has left the countrys lush mountains in flames. The disaster was caused by dry weather high temperatures and strong winds.
2019, so far has been one of the worst years on record as far as wildfires are concerned. From Asia to Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Australia there have been devastating wildfires and it is only getting worse.
The latest countries to be hit by wildfires are Lebanon and parts of Syria.

More than 100 blazes were reported from north to south of Lebanon over the past two days. The fire which began in Chouf village of Meshref has left the country's lush mountains in flames and is described as the "worst to hit Lebanon in decades."
¡°Lebanon has not seen anything similar for dozens of years, with fires reaching houses and institutions and burning forests home to natural biodiversity,¡± Civil Defense Director General Gen. Raymond Khattar said.

¡°Over 200 Civil Defense vehicles were deployed. The massive fires led to the explosion of 20 land mines, laid during the civil war in areas declared off-limits,¡± he added.
Unable to battle the blaze by itself Lebanon has sought help from neighboring Cyprus, which has sent two helicopters to help in putting out the fire.

Greece also deployed two aircraft to help the country combat the fire.
