Besides Pronouncing Bhutan As ¡®Button¡¯, Donald Trump Thought That Nepal And Bhutan Were Part Of India
During the briefing, Trump pointed at the map and said that he was aware that Nepal was a part of India on which he was further told that Nepal was an independent nation.
It is not only India where the CBI and other core government institutions are finding themselves at odds with the central government¡¯s policies. With Donald Trump¡¯s election to the White House as President, U.S Intelligence Community is also facing the same fate.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the domestic U.S intelligence and security agency has been receiving a lot of flak from the President, apparently for presenting analyses and reports that are not in line with Trump¡¯s beliefs.
In an article published in TIME, the President¡¯s stance on a plethora of foreign policy issues were not acceptable to Directors of National Intelligence, the CIA and the FBI. In return, Trump called the intelligence chiefs ¡°passive and na?ve¡± and suggested that they ¡°should go back to school.¡±
The Intelligence people seem to be extremely passive and naive when it comes to the dangers of Iran. They are wrong! When I became President Iran was making trouble all over the Middle East, and beyond. Since ending the terrible Iran Nuclear Deal, they are MUCH different, but....

The article is based on in-depth interviews with multiple officials who have first hand knowledge of the episodes they describe, and multiple others who have been briefed on them.
For instance, in one briefing, Trump¡¯s advisors showed him a map of South Asia particularly of the region from Afghanistan to Bangladesh. During the briefing, Trump pointed at the map and said that he was aware that Nepal was a part of India on which he was further told that Nepal was an independent nation.
Then he said he was familiar with Bhutan too and knew that it was a part of India. The officials then told him that Bhutan was also an independent kingdom. Trump¡¯s obstinate nature and pea-sized knowledge of different countries often left his foreign officials perplexed.
There were also reports that he wanted to call world leaders at awkward timings, for instance in middle of the night when it would still be afternoon in Washington D.C.
Just concluded a great meeting with my Intel team in the Oval Office who told me that what they said on Tuesday at the Senate Hearing was mischaracterized by the media - and we are very much in agreement on Iran, ISIS, North Korea, etc. Their testimony was distorted press.... pic.twitter.com/Zl5aqBmpjF

Another international source, Politico had reported in August last year that before preparing for his meeting with PM Modi, he mispronounced Nepal as ¡°nipple¡± and laughingly referred to Bhutan as ¡°button,¡± according to two sources with knowledge of the meeting.
He has often offended the Africans by calling these countries as ¡°shithole countries¡±. His apparent ignorance towards geography, world affairs and leaders have also emerged during internal meetings.
Last month he took a jibe at India for building a library in Afghanistan. AFP reported that while stating that he got along with Modi, Trump said that Modi was ¡°constantly telling me he built a library in Afghanistan. You know what that is? That¡¯s like five hours of what we spend,¡± said Trump.
