Shocking Moment When Pilots Ejected From MiG-23 Jet Seconds Before It Crashed At US Air Show

Two pilots had a close shave while flying a fighter jet at a Michigan air show on Sunday.
The MiG-23, a Soviet-era fighter jet, was performing aerial maneuvers at the Thunder Over Michigan Air Show on Sunday afternoon before it crashed, as per the Detroit Free Press. Miraculously, the plane's two pilots managed to eject themselves successfully before the aircraft went down.
Authorities told FOX 2 Detroit that the Soviet-designed MiG-23 crashed near an apartment complex near Belleville Road off I-94 at around 4:30 p.m. Officials told FOX 2 that the pilots were recovered safely from a lake. There were no casualties reported at the crash site.

"Oh my god!" a spectator could be heard yelling in another video, as the plane appeared to plummet toward the ground.

The air show posted an update to Facebook saying the show was being paused after the wreck. "Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a situation that requires us to stop the show,' they wrote. 'Please make your way into your vehicles and calmly make your way out of the airfield. Please be patient as we control traffic around the area."
The FAA is investigating the crash.
