This Is How This Single Mum Got Son Suffering From Cerebral Palsy Into Harvard Law School
When Zou Hongyan gave birth to her son back in 1988, doctors told her that it was worthless trying to 'rescue' him as he would grow up either disabled or with low intelligence.
Her now 29-year-old son, Ding Ding, suffers from cerebral palsy. But, Hongyan chose to fight all odds, to help her son overcome his disability.

She divorced her husband and dedicated her entire life to treat and support her son. After years of hardwork and persistence, she got her son admitted to the prestigious Harvard University.
According to SCMP, she juggled at least three jobs simultaneously to support her small family, including protocol training and insurance sales.

In her spare time, she played brain-boosting games with her son to stimulate his senses and build the foundations of his intelligence.
Ding had problems coordinating his hand, to overcome that, she taught him how to use chopsticks.
"I didn¡¯t want him to feel ashamed about his physical problems,¡± she told SCMP.

Ding Ding ¨C is a Peking University graduate with a bachelor¡¯s degree in environmental sciences and engineering and now a Law student at Harvard University.
