20-Yr-Old Dies After Drinking Acid Instead Of Water While Playing PUBG Mobile
PUBG claims another life, this time of a player who carelessly drank acid thinking it was water from a bottle.
Mobile game PUBG has gained a bad reputation, claiming quite a few lives not just in India, but across the globe. And now it has claimed yet another life, this time in Bhopal.

Saurabh Yadav, a 20-year old youngster from Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh was travelling with his friend, Santosh Sharma, who was a jeweller aboard the Swarna Jayanti Express to Agra. While they were commuting, he was killing time on his journey by playing PUBG on his phone.
After some time, he happened to have gotten thirsty and reached out in his friend¡¯s bag to grab a bottle of water. Not seeing what was in his hand, he popped open the bottle and gulped down the beverage. In some time he experienced his insides burning, and when he looked at the bottle near him discovered it was, in fact, an acid bottle.
In a panicked state, they were trying to get medical attention. The train was travelling on full speed and didn¡¯t halt at the next station on the route -- Dholpur, thus not giving Saurabh necessary medical attention. By the time the train reached Agra, Saurabh Yadav had already died.
The police took Sharma in custody and enquired about carrying acid in the train. Answering that, he revealed that he is a jeweller and they often use acid to clean silverware. Saurabh¡¯s family, on the other hand, is accusing Sharma of giving him acid deliberately.
A few months ago, another case was reported in Chhindwara where another youth did the exact same thing while playing PUBG at home. However, he was lucky enough to get medical attention in time and eventually survive.

In such scenarios, one would say that the main culprit for the sad incident has been PUBG -- had that game been banned or non-existent in today¡¯s world, this incident wouldn¡¯t have had occurred. And till some extent that is true.
However what plays a major role is the attention a gamer must give to the outside world and surroundings, instead of only looking at the screen, risking his real life for saving his digital one in the game -- there are no restarts in real life.
