Guy Calculates Jeff Bezos' Wealth With 1 Rice Grain As 1 Lakh Dollar: It's Over 26 Kg Of Rice
Just like us, Twitter user Humphrey was inquisitive to know how much money Jeff Bezos really has, so he conducted an experiment of sorts to tangibly show the amount of wealth the Amazon CEO currently possesses.
On social media, often we come across posts on Jeff Bezos being the world¡¯s wealthiest man, and what he splurges on. It always makes us wonder, sure he is a billionaire, but how much money does that really translate to?
Just like us, Twitter user Humphrey was inquisitive to know the same, so he conducted an experiment of sorts to tangibly show the amount of wealth the Amazon CEO currently possesses.
His experiment was rather simple -- he used rice as a way to show us this tangibility. He valued a single grain of rice at $100,000. So a million dollars would be around 10 grains of rice.
To calculate a billion rice, he multiplied the weight of a single grain of rice by ten thousand and this was how much it really looked like.
But Jeff Bezos is valued at a whole lot more than just $1 billion. He is actually valued at around 122 billion. So he saw the weight for a billion dollars (which was around 215 grams) and using that weight as a reference he went for some shopping.
As he came home he again began with his mathematics. As I mentioned earlier, Jeff Bezos is valued at $122 billion, so multiplying this by 122 gives us a whopping 26 kilograms of rice! Just look at the amount of that heap.
He even demonstrates inserting a keyboard in the heap as it engulfs nearly half of the keyboard. How crazy is that!
He also showed (extreme right image) how much Jeff Bezos¡¯s new home in LA (which costs at $145 million dollars) looks in physicality. It is literally a handful of his total valuation!
Our pockets have never felt emptier, have they?
