Coronavirus: Buses, Metro To Be Disinfected On Regular Basis, Says Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal
Five more people from Kerala have been tested positive for coronavirus Health minister KK Shailaja said on Sunday while adding that all five patients are from Pathanamthitta district. Earlier Indias three positive cases had been reported from the state. Delhi government has asked DTC and other buses metro and hospitals to be disinfected on a regular basis as a precautionary measure to deal with the virus.
The coronavirus cases are increasing in India, five more people from Kerala have been tested positive for coronavirus.
Health minister, KK Shailaja said on Sunday while adding that all five patients are from Pathanamthitta district. While three of them had returned from Italy on February 29, two others were their relatives, Shailaja said.
Their tests were confirmed on Saturday. Earlier, India¡¯s three positive cases had been reported from the state. All the three patients are medical students from Wuhan who have undergone treatment and got discharged from hospitals.

The Delhi government has asked DTC and other buses, metro and hospitals to be disinfected on a regular basis as a precautionary measure to deal with the virus COVID - 19, Delhi CM Arving Kejriwal said.
Kejriwal said Delhi has 3 positive cases and 1st suspected case of coronavirus. The first patient came in contact with 105 people, the 2nd patient came in contact with 168 people and the 3rd patient came in contact with almost 64 people. All these have been quarantined and their blood samples have been taken.
As a state, Arunachal Pradesh government has decided to temporarily suspend issuing Protected Area Permits to foreigners to keep in check with the spread of coronavirus.
This move came after the Sikkim government announced a similar limit on visit of foreigners.
Bhutan has also shut its borders to foreign visitors for two weeks in an effort to limit the impact of the virus.
Tamil Nadu Health Secretary Beela Rajesh said that, "We are fully prepared, we have procedures to contain this disease. We have 1086 patients under home surveillance. "
Beela Rajesh also said, "A person who has been tested positive with coronavirus and is kept under surveillance here at a hospital. We are also tracing contact history of that person. Further, we arranged a screening facility for every person coming from outside."
Kerala Health Minister KK Shailaja said, "Five new positive cases of coronavirus have been admitted in the isolation wards. Three people who recently came back from Italy due to which two more have got the disease here in Pathanamthitta district."
"Till now the count of 31,763 passengers have been screened at RGI Airport, Hyderabad including 4,656 who were screened today as on March 7th in which 19 were found suspected to have coronavirus symptoms and they have been kept in isolation in a state-run hospital," said Director, Public Health, Dr. G Srinivasa Rao.
In 19 suspected coronavirus cases, five tested negative and another 14 suspected tests results are awaited, Dr G Srinivasa Rao further added.
Three positive cases of novel coronavirus, two persons from Ladakh with a travel history of Iran and another from state Tamil Nadu who had visited Oman were reported on Saturday.
The total number of people affected in India are 34 from the COVID-19 virus.
