Animals Of Different Species Co-Existing & Being Friends Can Teach Humans A Lesson In Harmony

There are lot of examples of animals of different species coexisting together in nature. These animal relations exemplify harmony and are enough to set an example for humans.

Recently the story of friendship between Gunner the dog and Delta the dolphin, went viral on social media.

The two have reportedly been friends for the past two years. However, there are even more unusual relations found in nature. Here are a few of them:

Dolphin Adopts Baby Whale, Takes Care Of It For Three Years

You might have heard of animals of one species becoming friends with another - like dogs and cats, or a bird and a dog but inter-species ADOPTION is really rare in nature.

National Geographic reported about something like that happening - In a first of its kind case known to humans, a bottlenose dolphin adopted a baby whale years ago and was found taking care of it at least till the last year! The baby whale was found taking up dolphin behavior because, well, that's who the whale spent its time with.

Nat Geo explained, 'Adopting is uncommon among wild mammals, with most occurring between related members of the same species. The whale orphan entered the dolphin group and stayed with the mother longer than even her biological offspring, who vanished mysteriously. It was even found nursing it at times'.

Orangutan Adopts Three Tiger Babies

Some time ago, another video of what appeared to be inter-species adoption, went viral.

It claimed that an orangutan adopted three tiger babies for which it cared like a mother. The video showed how the primate took care of the three cubs and showered them with love.

Cow And Pig At A Farm

Another example of unusual inter species-friendship is that of Moo Moo the dairy cow and Lucy the pig. The pair can be found at Happy Herd Farm Sanctuary in Aldergrove, British Columbia.

The cow met the pig when the latter was just two weeks old and since then they have been hanging out together. After some time they were also joined by Baby the donkey.

African Elephant And Bella The Black Labrador

Years ago, the story of Bubbles the elephant and Bella the black lab, was one of Internet's favorite. Despite the very apparent difference in size, the two have been known to be great friends.

Bubbles was brought to a safari reserve in the U.S. after she was rescued from ivory poachers in Africa, while Bella was left there by a contractor for the park.

Long Neck Buddies - Ostrich And Giraffe

This is another friendship known to the Internet for a long time.
