US: Heart-stopping Video Shows Massive Shark Jumping Out Of Water And Onto The Fishing Boat

A heart-stopping video is going viral showing a mako shark leaping out of water and landing on a fishing boat off the coast of Maine, United States.

Massive shark lands on fishing boat

The crew and guests on a shark fishing expedition with Sea Ventures Charters got more than what they had bargained for. A mako shark came out of nowhere and landed on the boat, leaving everyone on board panic-stricken.

In a now-viral video taken by someone on the boat, the guests and crew on board were just watching the shark jump in and out of the water as it was being reeled in. But a few seconds later, the shark catches up with the boat and leaps directly onto the deck.

It spiraled and thrashed its way on board, knocking over one person and sending the other scrambling up the steps to the upper deck.

"A once-in-a-lifetime experience! Thankfully, no one on board was injured! Astonishingly, the mako was measured, tagged, nudged toward the transom door and released," Sea Ventures Charters said on Facebook.

Captain Dave Sinclair told the New York Post that the incident ¡°happened so fast.¡±

¡°We¡¯ve handled a lot of sharks over the years, but makos are special¨C they tend to act wild and crazy. It was pretty wild and stunning to watch," he told the outlet.

Whale breaches and lands on boat

In July, a video went viral showing a whale coming out of nowhere, breaching the water, and landing on a boat off the coast of Massachusetts, United States.

In the video, the whale, which appears to be a humpback, can be seen emerging from the water before landing on the small vessel, bringing it crashing down into the water before bouncing upright again.

No injuries were reported, and the boat only sustained light damage and was able to return to the boat ramp without any assistance.
