A 5-foot-long snake was found hiding in a Florida man¡¯s brand new sofa. The reptile was removed safely by the police team after the man contacted them.
According to reports, the Clearwater Police Department on December 5 received a call from a resident who informed them that there was a snake inside his couch.
"Snakes alive!! Here¡¯s a call you don¡¯t see every day. A resident at Marilyn Pines calls this afternoon because he¡¯s got a snake in his condo and it¡¯s hiding in his couch," the Clearwater Police Department wrote on Facebook.
The police team reached the address provided by the resident and carried the sofa outside the house. The reptile was burrowed deep inside the inner section of the couch.
The team carried out a successful rescue operation and extracted the snake from its hiding place safely. They shared details of the incident on Facebook and the Clearwater Police Department informed that the snake was then taken to the local shop pet store after it was rescued.
The post read, ¡°The man just got the couch the other day and he thinks the snake was hiding in the couch when it came to his house."
