Delhi witnessed a sudden change in weather on May 14 as a massive duststorm followed by a hailstorm took the national capital by surprise. Even though the dust storm lasted a short while, it was strong enough to cause some damage. TOI reports uprooting of trees that damaged power lines and vehicles, in some parts of the city.

This was the second dust storm that hit Delhi and surrounding areas in less than a week.
As per TOI, Kuldeep Srivastava, the head of the regional forecasting centre of the IMD, said that it was a result of a fresh western disturbance.
"Winds gusting up to 60 kilometers per hour barrelled through the national capital whipping up dust storms. A few areas witnessed hailstorm," Srivastava said.
Here are some visuals from the ¡®hill station¡¯ that Delhi seemingly turned into, when the hailstorm gave the illusion of a 'snowfall' to some. Quite frankly, this might just be the closest Delhi can get to a snowfall anyway.
