Good Samaritan: Bank Manager Clears Out Traffic Jam In Heavy Rain To Make Way For Ambulances
In a video that has now gone viral on social media, a good Samaritan is shown helping an ambulance get to its destination.
When roads get blocked with traffic, ambulance services have a hard time transporting patients to hospitals which can lead to severe consequences. While some people do the right (and legal) thing and make way for the ambulance, others look out for themselves and block the emergency service's way.
However, when an ambulance gets stuck in a traffic jam where even other drivers cannot help but budge slowly to move forward, someone has to step in to figure out a solution to get the vehicle to the hospital.
In a video that has now gone viral on social media, a good Samaritan is shown helping an ambulance get to its destination. The clip was posted on Twitter by Indian Forest Services officer Sudha Ramen with the caption, "Let this year be filled with more humanity and positive stories. Bank Manager Jinnah had cleared way for the ambulances on New year Eve in Chennai. He had walked about 4kms till the ambulances reached the hospital. Hero."

The incident took place in Tamil Nadu's capital Chennai where heavy rain had blocked several parts of the city and brought the traffic to a standstill. Roads were jam-packed with vehicles due to waterlogging and drivers were stuck in long traffic jams.
In one such jam, not one but three ambulances were stuck in Anna Salai; they were on their way to Rajiv Gandhi Government hospital carrying patients who required immediate medical attention. However, since the drivers could not find a way out of the jam, Jinnah, a manager at a private bank, came to their rescue.
He parked his two-wheeler and hitchhiked for nearly four kilometres in the heavy rain to make way for the three ambulances. Thanks to Jinnah's proactive initiative, all three ambulances reached the hospital in time.
The kind man's actions were praised by many - the ambulance drivers even took a selfie with the bank manager.
