The Indian Railway Library Ended Up Kickstarting This CEO's Harvard Dream
The CEO took to Twitter and shared how, 35 years ago, when he was still just a boy, his father had passed away. Growing up with a single mother, she was all he could lean on for support. Garg, on the other hand, found another embrace of refuge. It was the Indian Railway Library.
After the demise of his father, his mom had taken to shouldering the household and took up a job as a clerk at the library, which was open exclusively to the executives and staff. But his knowledge was a luxury to Garg at the time, as his family could not afford much, including books.
He revealed in his Twitter post, ¡°I would sneak in to read all possible things I was interested in¡¡± He was ecstatic to be able to access the books in the library. One of his favourite pastimes was reading the Harvard Business Review magazine. He enjoyed going through the case studies mentioned in the magazine.

His Life Came Full Circle In 2018
His dreams came full circle when, in 2018, Garg was invited to be on the panel at Harvard University "about financial inclusion for smallholder farmers."
He shared that he felt the best when, while at the institute, he bought his very own Harvard Business Review: "And I bought a copy of HBR at the Harvard university campus, mine own copy!! I still feel super elated about being able to do this ¡ from not being able to afford few rupees for books to getting invited as panelist at Harvard and buying a copy of my own."
