How Khalsa Aid Is Changing The Lives Of Malawi Residents With Water Pumps & Clean Water Access
With their project Water4Africa NGO Khalsa Aid is working hard to bring water to the rural communities in Africa. According to a recent study released by World Bank Water by 2040 it is predicted that 33 countries are likely to face extremely high water stress - including 15 in the Middle East most of Northern Africa.
We all take the availability of water for granted. Let's take Holi celebrations for instance, with 'gulal water' and fancy rain dance parties, gallons of water is wasted.
On the other hand, there are people in Malawi, Africa, who are overjoyed at the mere sight of a water pump!
With their project Water4Africa, NGO Khalsa Aid is working hard to bring water to the rural communities in Africa. Take a look at these videos where women are dancing and singing because they're overwhelmed by the new water pumps in their village:

WHO states that thousands of people in Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe lack safe drinking water after the Cyclone Idai. This puts them at higher risk of diarrhoeal diseases like cholera and typhoid. 844 million people lack even a basic drinking-water service, including 159 million people who are dependent on surface water.
Globally, at least two billion people use a drinking water source contaminated with faeces.
