Rescuers Save Boy From Drowning In Underground Cave, One Held Onto His Hand Through Hole In The Ground
A little boy of seven was saved by rescuers who held onto his hand from a tiny hole in the ground while the former was stuck beneath and was about to drown.
A young boy escaped death thanks to rescuers who saved him from drowning, and one even held onto his hand.
If it was not for the rescuers the seven-year-old boy would have been sucked into an underground cave. The incident reportedly occurred last week in Yongjia county of Zhejiang province when the boy¡¯s grandfather took him to swim in a local river, according to the local fire brigade.
Rescuers spotted the young boy after the latter stuck out his hand through a tiny gap in the ground.
A video of the rescue is going viral. It shows one of the rescuers gripping the child¡¯s hand while others quickly tries to dig up a hole to save him.
According to the grandfather, the child disappeared from his sight when he wasn¡¯t paying attention. He called nearby villagers for help and was searching for his grandson when they suddenly saw a small hand sticking out through a tiny hole in the ground.

They called the local firefighters for help immediately after locating the child who was trapped in an underground cave. Authorities released the footage in which the young boy can be seen grabbing a rescuer¡¯s hand while the firefighters attempting to open a hole.
It took the rescuers less than 10 minutes to successfully rescue the boy who was out of the tunnel through a gap. Apparently the authorities were not aware of the underground cave before this incident.
It was believed to be a culvert that diverts river water into an underground cave system. The officials will seal the tunnel to prevent any such accidents from happening again.

This incident comes after Chinese authorities warned parents about the dangers of children swimming in rivers and reservoirs. In June this year, eight children reportedly drowned in a river in south-western China after one of them fell in it by accident and the others jumped in to help.
The victims were all primary school pupils and had gone to play at a beach by themselves on Sunday on the Fu River in Chongqing, CCTV reported citing local officials.
The little boy was lucky to not have drowned.
