All the four accused that were involved in the raping and murdering the 27-year-old veterinary doctor in Hyderabad, were shot dead by the Hyderabad police in an encounter on Friday. According to the reports, the four men were brought to the crime scene to recreate the crime, when they tried to flee after which police resorted to firing.
"The four accused were killed in an encounter with the police," Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar said. The encounter took place around 3:30 am under a bridge on the Bengaluru-Hyderabad national highway near Chattanpalli village at Shadnagar. This is the same place where the victim was raped and burnt on the night of November 27.
Reacting to the encounter, the father of the 27-year-old veterinary doctor who was raped and murdered by the four men, said his daughter has got justice now. While there seems to be overwhelming support for the encounter, there are some who feel this might not be the best course of action.

All the four men were lorry workers and were accused of gang-raping and murdering the 27-year-old, who was returning home after meeting a dermatologist. The victim parked her scooter near a toll plaza on the night of November 27 and when she came back, she found one of the wheels flattened.
The four accused then approached her on the pretext of helping her and dragged her to an isolated place where they raped her. They later killed her and dumped her body near the bridge, and set it on fire.
