Last year, a heartwarming reunion of two brothers, separated for over seven decades, finally meeting again at the Kartarpur Corridor made the internet emotional.
The four km-long corridor provides visa-free access to Indian Sikh pilgrims to visit the Darbar Sahib. Witnessing their reunion after all those years was indeed a touching scene.

Mahendra Kaur, an 81-year-old residing in India, recently visited Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur, accompanied by her family, through the Kartarpur Corridor.
As per a report in Dawn, her 78-year-old younger brother, Sheikh Abdul Aziz, traveled from POK (Pakistan-occupied Kashmir) to Kartarpur.
He married young but always longed to reunite with his parents and other family members.
The two families discovered that Mahendra and Aziz were indeed estranged siblings after connecting through a social media post detailing the separation of a man and his sister during the Partition
Overwhelmed with emotions, the siblings shared a heartfelt embrace upon their reunion.
Both families exchanged garlands and sweets to commemorate the joyous occasion.
Together, they entered Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur, shared a meal, and exchanged gifts. The extraordinary meeting came to fruition after the family members stumbled upon a social media post detailing their separation during the partition.

Sardar Bhajan Singh's family, hailing from Indian Punjab, was tragically torn apart, with Aziz relocating to POK while his sister and other family members remained in India.
