Sleep-On-The-Go: Sleeping Pods 'Sleepzo' Set Up At Chennai Airport
A comfortable bed, reading lights, a charging station, a USB charger, luggage storage, ambient light, and a blower control are all part of the space.
Travel can get exhausting for frequent travelers. To make travel a better experience for passengers, Chennai International Airport has set up sleeping pods for passengers.
The recently introduced "sleeping pod facility" at Chennai International Airport will give transit travelers a convenient brief stay.
In the arrivals area of the domestic terminal, the "Sleepzo" facility, which has four bed-sized capsules, has been set up next to baggage belt number 1.
On Wednesday, the facility was officially launched by Dr. Sharad Kumar, the director of Chennai International Airport, in the presence of other top officials.
According to a press release from the airport, the facility will benefit transit travelers waiting for their subsequent flights and provide much-needed relaxation.

According to officials, the sleeping pod facility is available hourly, and an online pre-booking option will be introduced soon. A comfortable bed, reading lights, a charging station, a USB charger, luggage storage, ambient light, and a blower control are all part of the space.
Each capsule can accommodate one adult and one child under 12.
"The sleeping pod facility at Chennai Airport can be availed hourly and has amenities like reading lights, charging station, USB charger, luggage space, ambient light & blower control, and a nice plush bed. Each capsule can accommodate one person (and a kid, if under 12), offering full rest to the tired passenger," the release said.
"Frequent flyers spend so much time on travel, and it¡¯s very important to get the rest wherever they can. The best option would be to walk into a good hotel, which may not be possible because of time constraints and finances. And if the passenger is particularly short on time, sleeping in the airport may be the best option," the release added.
