The footage shows the intruder taking slow, deliberate steps, seemingly trying to stay quiet and avoid detection. He glances at the camera briefly before continuing barefoot up the stairs.
Authorities confirmed that Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, their two sons¡ªfour-year-old Jeh and eight-year-old Taimur¡ªand five house staff members were at home when the attacker broke in.
Suspect caught by police
On Friday, police detained an individual and brought him to the Bandra Police Station for questioning.
However, it remains uncertain whether the person matches the suspect captured in the CCTV footage.
About the attack on Saif Ali Khan
The incident occurred around 2 a.m. on Thursday when an intruder broke into Jeh¡¯s room. Nurse Eliyama Philip, who first saw the man, described waking up to find a slender figure wielding a wooden stick and a blade resembling a hacksaw. When she tried to warn Saif and Kareena, the intruder threatened her to keep silent.
The commotion caught Saif's attention, and he confronted the intruder but was overpowered during the altercation.
The attacker fled after assaulting him.
Security footage captured the suspect leaving the property at 2:33 a.m., wearing a brown collared shirt and a red scarf (gamcha).
Authorities are currently investigating and pursuing leads to apprehend the suspect. As per the latest reports, police brought one individual in for questioning at the Bandra police station and the investigation is underway.
Saif Ali Khan's condition now
Saif was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where a team of specialists performed surgery.
By Thursday afternoon, his team confirmed that he was stable and had been moved to the ICU.
Doctors stated today that the actor is doing well and has been advised bed rest for now.
They added that Saif is under observation and is likely to be discharged within the next two to three days, depending on his recovery.
