Deepinder Goyal has gone viral ¨C but not exactly in the way he might have expected. The Zomato founder sparked a firestorm after announcing a 'Chief of Staff' role that required candidates to pay Rs 20 lakh for the first year, promising 10x the learning of a management course. He later claimed the fee was just a filter and vowed to reject those focused on the money. In all this, entrepreneurs jumped on the bandwagon, using the controversial job posting to pitch their own business ideas or share their own job listings.
Ganesh Sonawane, founder of Frido, took to X to share his company's job listing, throwing a playful jab at Deepinder Goyal's controversial role offering.
He posted, "Plot Twist: If you apply for Frido's Chief of Staff Role and get selected, we will pay you 21 lakhs per annum instead of you paying us. Learning is going to be great, after all, winning in multiple niches and launching innovative products requires a nuanced and fast-paced approach."

When asked about the job description, Sonawane responded, "Generalist role! Demonstration of excellence and hunger more than anything."
Other entrepreneurs joined in, with Arjun Singh, co-founder of Gully Labs sneakers, advising, "Take that Rs 20 lakh and start your own business. One year later, you'll get more value than all the alternatives."
