Some say the recent discovery of ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs could prove that 'time travel' existed. New theories came to life when archaeologists discovered modern-day helicopter-like cravings at an ancient temple in Egypt. Watch the video explaining the theory here.
Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphs With Helicopter-like Carvings Discovered
In a video posted on YouTube by user Walid Haddad, archaeologists claim they have found 'proof' of time travel after studying ancient hieroglyphs that seem to depict a modern-day rotorcraft and a fixed-wing aircraft. The hieroglyphs that also show a futuristic-looking aircraft and a plane, were seen among cravings of what looks like snakes and insects.
As per reports, experts are now of the opinion that the strange hieroglyphs are evidence that ancient Egyptians may or may not have seen modern-day like aircrafts. Over the years, several clips surfaced on social media that showcased the 'helicopter' hieroglyphs and have given birth to views and theories of all kinds. However, nothing has been backed up with concrete evidence so far.
Today in my ASB333 #Pseudoarchaeology class we discussed the importance of context for archaeology and how pseudoarchaeology is "particularly contemptuous of context" as Fagan put it. I like to use the famous "Helicopter Hieroglyphs" as an example here. What do you see? 1/5 pic.twitter.com/53Hxvx0NR1

The carvings were found at Seti I's temple in Abydos
The helicopter hieroglyphs were found in Seti I's temple in Abydos, they are over 3,000 years old. Researchers said the initial carving was made during the reign of Seti I and translated to "He who repulses the nine [enemies of Egypt]". The carvings were later filled in with plaster and re-carved during the reign of Ramesses II with the title "He who protects Egypt and overthrows the foreign countries".
The temple of Seti I, situated in Abydos, is one of the most important archaeological sites of Ancient Egypt. Abydos is located in Upper Egypt, about 10 km from the Nile River. It was a necropolis for Egypt's earliest kings and later became a pilgrimage centre for the worship of the god Osiris.
