Some companies go out of their way to establish a healthy work-life balance for employees, while others take advantage of dedicated employees. Leywino, a Reddit member, joined a new firm around 8 months ago, and because it was her first employment, she didn't know much about the company culture.
She stated that when she joined, she was informed that there were no 9-to-5 work hours in the company and that the CEO wanted her to work overtime.
The user further claimed that in exchange for conforming to this working culture, the corporation provided "freedom" to communicate like friends and laugh with coworkers.
The user did this for six months, but two months ago she stated that she would only work from nine to five, and she has since felt isolated while everyone else is "still having fun" at work. She is currently seeking advice on how to handle the matter.
