A woman named Vijayashree Venkat recently made a post on LinkedIn that struck a chord with people on the internet. She pointed out how damaging the rangoli joke is for HR professionals. She also highlighted how the HR industry has changed over the years and now holds much bigger responsibilities than just hiring and organising fun events at work.
