The Facebook founder has been under constant criticism from the press over the years, but that did not stop him from growing his social media networking website to a tech empire.
During an interview with Tim Ferris on his show The Time Ferris Show, Zuckerberg revealed the nickname his employees gave him. He explained how he manages his time and energy in the workplace while dealing with a fast-paced digital world that constantly bombards everyone with fresh news and information.
¡°Maybe I¡¯m not strong-willed enough or calm enough to do just straight-up meditation. I actually need to put myself in a situation where it¡¯s difficult to not focus on that thing. Some of the folks I work with at the company ¡ª they say this lovingly ¡ª but I think that they sometimes refer to my attention as the Eye of Sauron," Zuckerberg said.
He continued: ¡°You have this unending amount of energy to go work on something, and if you point that at any given team, you will just burn them.¡±
For those who are not familiar with the Lord of the Rings, the Eye of Sauron represents the threat of the Dark Lord's influence. It was said that very few could endure its tormenting gaze.
So, basically bad things can happen to you when the Eye of Sauron notices it. We are not sure that his 'loving' description stands true.
A Reddit user wrote, ¡°Fun fact: "Sauron" is Sindarin for "abhorred one". Definitely a nickname you give to your beloved boss.¡±
¡°I'm not surprised he thinks that. Love is difficult for a robot to understand," another user said.
¡°It's good to know AI still hasn't gained the ability to read the room," wrote a third user.
