Anant Ambani, son of Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries (RIL), and Radhika Merchant officially announced their engagement today. The couple got engaged at the Shrinathji Temple in Nathdwara, Rajasthan, in the presence of their families.

Mukesh and Nita Ambani hosted Radhika Merchant's arangetram ceremony at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai in June. A dancer's formal training in classical dance concludes in a performance called an "Arangetram."

After completing his studies at Brown University in the United States, Anant has worked with Reliance Industries in various roles, including serving as a member on the boards of directors for both Jio Platforms and Reliance Retail Ventures. Currently, he serves as the head of RIL's energy business.
Who is Radhika Merchant?
In addition to having her degree from New York University, Radhika is now a member of the Board of Directors of Encore Healthcare.
Radhika is the daughter of Viren Merchant, the CEO of Encore Healthcare, and Shaila Merchant. Radhika studied in Mumbai at the Cathedral, John Connon, and Ecole Mondiale World School.
