According to reports, Gauri Khan, wife of the Bollywood superstar, submitted an application to the MCZMA on November 9.
The proposed addition of two new floors, the seventh and eighth, is estimated to cost around Rs 25 crore.
A decision on the application is expected to be made on Wednesday.
SRK's Mannat
Shah Rukh KhanĄ¯s Mumbai home, Mannat was originally built in 1914.
The colonial-style structure was known as Villa Vienna before Khan purchased it in 2001 and renamed it.
Spread over 2,091.38 square meters, the residence attracts fans from across the globe.
Spanning six floors and 27,000 square feet, its interiors, designed by Gauri Khan, incorporate a mix of classic and contemporary aesthetics.
