On the Reddit subreddit, r/kdrama, fans discussed the subpar ending of the show, with many highlighting that unless the makers have a season 2 planned, this ending doesn't make sense.

One user wrote, "This series started very strong but quickly turned into a convoluted mess. Too many plot points were left hanging, which left me with more questions than answers. Perhaps my biggest grievance with this show is how poorly they used Eunnam's character. I thought she¡¯d have a much bigger role in the show, but man, was I mistaken. The very few scenes she did have added almost nothing to the show, which annoys me since the actress killed every scene she was in. It¡¯s very obvious that her purpose was to pull viewers in with the dramatic first two episodes. It really sucks they brushed her to the side after that."

Another user wrote, "Ok, what was that? Unless they are planning another season, that ending was so unsatisfying. There are so many unanswered questions. Some plotlines are literally just there, and bam, move on. I still miss the intense yearning, though lol. Anyways, I'm hoping for that second season but like 10 episodes max."
