In the wake of the deadly Coronavirus pandemic, some people seem to have a 'miracle cure' for the disease while scientists are struggling to zero down on a solution.
The most recent 'ridonculous' cure has been propounded by the Swami Chakrapani Maharaj, president of Hindu Mahasabha.
According to him, "Consuming cow urine and cow dung will stop the effect of infectious coronavirus. A person who chants Om Namah Shivay and applies cow dung on body, will be saved. A special yagna ritual will soon be performed to kill coronavirus," said Chakrapani.
This sounds even more non-sensical than some people thinking that Coronavirus has something related to the popular Corona beer!

Apart from the 'Cow Urine Mantra', the Ministry of AYUSH issued an advisory for the ¡°prevention¡± of infection from the novel strain of coronavirus using homoeopathy, and ¡°symptomatic management¡± using Unani medicines.
The advisory also recommended Unani preventive treatments such as drinking shadang paniya, consuming samshamani, agastya harityaki, and other Unani drugs.
It also gives a dietary recommendation of ¡°easily digestible, light and soft diets¡±, apart from personal hygiene tips that are generally issued by health experts across the board to prevent air-borne infection.
So far, atleast 259 people have died and 11,791 people have been infected in China by the new coronavirus. Most of the latest fatalities are from Hubei province. The city of Wuhan, the epicentre of the outbreak is located in Hubei.
Scientists are working hard to understand the virus, and Chinese health authorities have posted its full genome in international databases. For now, there are no approved antivirals for this particular coronavirus,.
Here are some of the preventive measures:
