Dad Pays Rs 3L For Daughter's Marriage Proposal From HNI Families With Rs 200+ Cr Turnover
A user on the social networking site X (previously Twitter) reported an instance that shows how far a father can go to keep his children happy and safe.
The idea that money tarnishes love, as well as the belief that love plays no role in financial discussions, is common in society. Nonetheless, given that these two entities are here to stay, they must coexist peacefully. But how much of a role does money play in marriage? As it turned out, quite a bit. A user on the social networking site X (previously Twitter) reported an instance that shows how far a father can go to keep his children happy and safe.
Dad paid Rs 3 Lakh fee to get rishtas for daughter
According to the social media post, the woman's friend's father allegedly paid an agency Rs 3 lakh in exchange for proposals from families with an annual income of more than Rs 200 crore.
However, the user did not provide any additional information on the aforementioned family or the name of the agency. She said, however, that the father persisted to pay the high fee to secure proposals for his daughter from extremely wealthy families.

Soon after the post went up, it received 2 lakh views and numerous comments.
Internet was shocked but not surprised
A curious user asked, ¡°Rishta hua? (Got any marriage proposals?).¡±
To which the user replied, ¡°Ab tak to nhi, rejected 80+ (Not yet. Rejected 80+).¡±
Another user detailed matchmakers¡¯ business saying, ¡°Very normal. This fee is a filter to get cr¨¨me de la cr¨¨me. The matchmaker¡¯s fee is usually 1-2% of the total expense of the marriage. Example- A wedding costing Rs 1 Crore would get the broker Rs 1-2 lakh easily. This is then adjusted with the initial fee paid.¡±
Sharing the same instance, another user mentioned, ¡°One of the family members did the same ¡ Paid 2.5L for Rishita from UHNI. It took six months for the girl to find her soul mate. If I don¡¯t go wrong they have been happily married for the last 6 years and have two kids.¡±
