Up until now, we've all heard of important world events that the longest-running American sitcom, The Simpsons, predicted. From America's Ebola outbreak to Donald Trump's presidency, the show seemed to have known it all, except that it never spoke of Coronavirus.
Seems like a novel published in 1981 covered that too and the details propounded in the book hold uncanny similarities to the mystery the world is currently witnessing.
A thriller novel called The Eyes of Darkness, written by Dean Koontz in 1981, mentioned a virus named Wuhan-400. In the novel, the virus was created as a weapon in a laboratory.

A Twitter user with the handle @DarrenPlymouth brought this cryptic reference to light on social media. The user posted the cover of the book and shared an excerpt from the book which has the mention of the virus Wuhan-400 in it.
In the novel, the virus is called the 'perfect weapon' because it only affects humans. It also cannot survive outside the human body for more than a minute and does not require an expensive decontamination process.
The eerie similarity between the book and the Coronavirus pandemic raised eyebrows, and many were left absolutely stumped:

Read most of Dean Koontz books and enjoyed how descriptive they were. This, however, is a little too close to the ? ?

The theory was also shared by Congress minister, Manish Tewari, who wrote, 'Is Coranavirus a biological Weapon developed by the Chinese called Wuhan -400? This book was published in 1981. Do read the excerpt'.

Since the spread of the deadly virus, a considerable number of people held a strong opinion that Wuhan Coronavirus was nothing but biological warfare, and the Dean Koontz book seems to have cemented that belief for many.
China's National Health Commission has announced that the death toll from the coronavirus outbreak in mainland China has reached 1,770.
Across the country, there were 2,048 new confirmed infections, about 1,933 from Hubei alone, pushing the new total to 70,548 of which 10,844 people have been treated and released from hospitals in China,
According to Reuters, Hubei announced on Sunday that it would further tighten traffic restrictions in order to try and curb the outbreak. It also ordered villages and districts to implement the ※most stringent§ measures to stop people from entering and leaving.
