Talita Booyens--who uses the pronouns they/them--quit their job as a financial advisor back in 2018 to become a stripper alongside their sister. The 27-year-old explored several fields of BDSM and kinks before becoming a professional dominatrix. They earn nearly ?5,000 a month.

They mentioned how their clients have to ask permission for everything, including ¡®lifting their pinky finger¡¯.

Talita works under the stage name Domme Claire and runs 12 sessions a week. They love to play the role of a sadist, inflicting pain and degradation on submissives.

The professional dominatrix is from Cape Town and about their profession, they said: ¡°Pain is incredible and I enjoy doing all these messed up things to my clients. A lot of them want to be degraded but sometimes I¡¯ll do it in a kind way. So I¡¯ll praise them in a degrading way. As a professional dominatrix, I am paid to take the dominant role in a BDSM play scene. People that come to me often have a lot of control in their lives and they come to me for the opposite of that ¨C it can be therapeutic.¡±

Talita talks to clients before starting sessions

Before starting any BDSM sessions with the client, Talita takes some in-depth sessions with them to know more about their likes and dislikes. They mentioned how the clients first check their website and social media profiles before getting in touch with them. Then Talita talks to the clients about their likes and dislikes.

After the said conversations, Talita plans the session and runs it by their clients to consent to. ¡°We¡¯ll have the session and then afterwards have aftercare which I do by love languages. So if their love language is words of affirmation I will praise them lots. I require a briefing from them to know what they liked or didn¡¯t like so I know what I¡¯m doing well at,", they said.

Talita also offers sessions that include reading bedtime stories to clients or chats to tailor in-person sessions and kinks. However, according to Talita, pain is the most common request from clients.

According to them, BDSM is a very feminist thing because everyone has equal power in it. It doesn¡¯t matter what happens in a scene if it has been consented to as adults.
