She said the company sent her a card and a commemorative block on Sunday to acknowledge her ten years at Twitter.
After being fired, a former Twitter manager claimed she received a thank-you present from the company for her anniversary. Elaine Filadelfo, a former senior research manager for Twitter's Consumer Insights division, said on Friday that she had been fired after ten years with the business.
"End of an era. This is a brutal way to go after ten years," she said. "This hit my *entire* team."

On Friday, Twitter slashed over 50% of its workforce in an attempt by its new owner, Elon Musk, to lower operating expenses. Kurt Wagner of Bloomberg said that the communications team was reportedly reduced from 80 to 100 individuals to only two.
For many employees, the Twitter mass layoffs have been accompanied by turmoil and uncertainty.
Employees claimed that entire teams had been let go, and some indicated that they had been locked out of work emails before the layoffs were formally announced. In one case, a laid-off worker was claimed to be expelled from the company's systems amid a virtual meeting.

A wooden block. Does it help to 'touch wood' or is it a way to signify 'dead wood'? Either way, this just shows how things have changed all of a sudden.

While some people praised Filadelfo for working tirelessly, others felt it was a loss for the company to terminate her.
The mistimed gift has been commonly viewed as being incredibly unprofessional.
